ACIM has shifted my entire perspective on reality. I realized how against Christianity I was because of the way Jesus had been portrayed, but this is a book that transcends the Bible entirely. It points out how we need to forgive the way Jesus and religion had been portrayed and this book revises so much.
I called Akim tonight to tell him how I fucked up and chose ego all day. He told me two things that were super helpful.
In his guru voice, he said, “When you become a student of the course, expect to attract a lot of things that you asked to heal within yourself. It will be overwhelming. Difficult. You asked for it.”
I told him how I constantly have the urge to talk and make people shift their perspective when it’s not in alignment with my own.
Akim says, “My love, anytime you feel the need to say something, you’ve identified with the ego.”
